All about parenting

Parenting, when talked about by many was easy for others tend to tolerate their child’s attitude whether it’s good or bad. But as to this rate, parenting is much more difficult than what others thought it would be. Children, nowadays, are way worse than children before. Parents find it hard to discipline their child because being rebellious is quite observable when it comes to it. One scold at them makes them furious because what they want is to be that someone who is always right, which parents doesn’t want. This, I call “petty” misunderstanding leads to both parties rather distant.

One should learn to listen while the other one talks. When at fault, don’t wait any longer; admit it because that, surely, will resolve the conflict made. Constantly talking about matters leads to deeper understanding on each other. Without this, the tie of the parents towards their child won’t be tight. And of course, when you talk, it helps a lot, for others, like your child will in some way comprehend you.

Our society nowadays is more exposed with advanced technologies, our children we’re very much media-driven and has convenient lifestyle than the generation back then. New technologies were out which practically caught much attention to children, they were then turned to be addicted on it. With the presence of it, children happen to spend their leisure and study time with it. There, the problem arises, which makes a parent-discipline-child quite difficult. Of course, new technologies are helpful that makes a living easy. A computer for example, it has a lot uses if used wisely because there we find information that we need with just a single click, we don’t need to browse lot of books just to conduct researches. It has really a lot of advantages; however, it has lots of disadvantages too. For instance, if a person, let’s say your child, tends to overuse the computer, he’ll be more driven with the information or write-ups on it, he will eventually rely on the internet so much which, basically, is not good for not all that is written there are accurate, some are just posted there for a self benefit not the others. The other advantage about it is that, when a child is too much occupied that he engages even to pornographic stuffs and sites. Once a child starts to engage in it, more often than never, the child becomes addicted to the point that he can’t sleep or relax at times when he needs to.

As a parent, we are needed to look for our child’s status or find out what were the things our child gets fond of. Not just looking out for him but also nurture them with things that are very much helpful for your child. Parents should practice talking to their child regularly for it is one of the simplest ways yet very much helpful for your child to be informed to inform, one should read a lot so that they won’t end up lacking in any way and they won’t just stand clueless at one side when finding out something. Reading a lot helps big time because it makes parents be more aware about things that their child even hides from them. It also helps in a sense that a parent can understand her child more. A parent should always remember that the best way to interact with your child is to spend time with them and when talking, create an open-relationship towards the child because sometimes a child purposely does things to annoy parents for they seek attention.

“WHEN LOVE STRIKES"

                Back when I was young, I've had lots of experiences. But I’ll start with how my parents raised me. My parents, just like the typical ones, were strict. They never let me play outside for hours or not play at all. They always keep me from going out for they fear that I might hurt myself, or get hurt from others. They' scold me whenever I hurt my knees. They've been like that until I graduated from elementary. That, maybe, was the reason why I act and move manly; I practically become a lesbian when I was in grade six. I've courted girls and pursued them; I've had 3 girl-to-girl relationships.

When I entered high school, I eventually became a girl and more lady-like, because that was when I met my first love. All that happened between us was like a “whirlwind” love story. We didn't get a formal relationship because none of us had a stand to bring our understanding one step higher, we just had this “mutual understanding“ which never lasted just like the same old story that happened in many. He was my first love and my first heartbreak. I had it when I found out that he’s courting another girl, which was the “famous flirt” in our school. It hurt me like hell because it was my first time. Just when I finished first year, I transferred to another school to mend my so-called broken heart.

            I started getting lonelier than ever, I always talk about him with my new-found friends. That simply explains that I still haven't moved on. My “moving on” mission did not succeed for the next year; he transferred to the same school I'm in. He acted like nothing happened between us and that hurts. He always says “hi” to me whenever we bump into each other. I don't know if it’s really fate who’s playing with me because on our senior year, our room were just next into each other which definitely means that we'll see each other more often. He continued greeting me whenever he sees me and made friends with me. Yes, we became friends and that made me happier compared to the previous years. We became very close to each other and then he courted me. Oh well! I was shocked and surprised which left me dumbfounded for a while. It never did crossed my mind that he would do that, but nonetheless it made me shiver and even gave me goose bumps. I was so happy that I even told my parents about it. As expected they objected, they let me choose; "that" or my studies. And of course, I chose my studies. It pained me when I told him and witnessed how pain paints onto his handsome face. But it can’t be helped for I am too young to engage with it and if we really are meant for each other, we'll be together, in time.
